This Research Guide is intended for students researching immigration and the experiences of both documented and undocumented immigrants in the US. It is also for CCSF students looking for information or support for the rights of immigrants regardless of status.

Topics will include clarification on the new federal government executive orders, U.S. residency and citizenship, the status of the Dream Act, the rights of undocumented people when facing arrest and deportation, Bay Area community resources for immigrants, citizenship assistance resources, and what it means for San Francisco to be a sanctuary city.

Panelists include Carolyn Linares Spears, an immigration attorney in San Francisco; Marina Pineda-Kamariotis, an immigration attorney in private practice; and Nelly Reyes, a Bay Area immigration consultant and advocate since 1991. The program will be conducted in Spanish, but everyone is welcome.
