Films on Demand is an online library of streaming videos, covering a wide range of topics. CCSF's subscription includes the general academic and nursing collections. There are approximately 15,000 films. You can access Films on Demand from the library's website Articles and Databases page.
Kanopy provides streaming access to a thousand videos from major film producers, including the Criterion Collection, California Newsreel, Media Education, etc. It also includes instant access to some classic foreign feature films, such as The Rules of the Game (Jean Renoir, 1939), Rome Open City (Roberto Rossellini, 1945), and Double Suicide (Masahiro Shinoda, 1969). You can also access Kanopy from the library's website Articles and Databases page.
An active RAM ID (student ID number) and RAM ID password is required for off-campus access to Films on Demand and Kanopy. When accessing these resources from off-campus, users will be prompted to log in with RAM ID, then will be able to view resources as if they are on-campus.
