How to Access E-books

The library provides access to over 130,000+ eBooks.  Search both the Ebscohost EBook Collection and OneSearch to find ebooks.

An active RAM ID (student ID number) and RAM ID password is required for off-campus access to CCSF Library e-books. When accessing these resources from off-campus, users will be prompted to log in with RAM ID, then will be able to view resources as if they are on-campus.

Finding Books

For this assignment, you may want to search by subject using emotions in art or combine keywords such as art or painting with emotions or feelings. Another way to search is to combine the keyword art with emotional topics such as art and war, in this example you'll have to quickly scroll through many results, but you'll find some good sources.

Books in the library are organized by call number according to the
Library of Congress classification system which groups items by subject, so you can often simply browse the shelves. Here are some relevant subjects and their call numbers:

Visual Arts N
Sculpture NB
Drawing, Design, Illustration NC
Painting ND
Decorative Arts NK

Use OneSearch to search for books, eBooks, magazine, newspaper and journal articles, streaming videos, DVDs, CDs, images, and more, all in a single search.
