Evernote is a productivity app that is free to download. All files are accessible from a computer, mobile device, and tablet. It is also available on multiple platforms such as Mac OS X, widnows, and various mobile devices such as iPhones, Androids and WIndows. It can be used to create notes via text, audio, and photos that when synced are accessible across all your devices.

Evernote allows users to organize information into notebooks. Some usess in the college enviroment would be to clip and save an article found on the web or from one of the library's subscription databases; to save an audio note from a lecture; to take text notes during a lecture; to create a task list and to set reminders on upcoming assignments. Other uses might be to take photos of a whiteboard so that I have my notes from a meeting session, or to share notes with students or colleagues collaborating on a project.
